Checklist:

  • Domain Name Registration
  • Website Development
  • Hosting Provider
  • SSL Certificate

Domain Registration
A domain name is your address indicator on the internet much similar to how an address works in the physical world. You will need a domain name to make a website function and this can be a company name or service for example yourbusiness.co.uk. We recommend that you register/purchase your domain name giving you full control. We can advise you on choice of domain and answer any questions you may have. We have used Fasthosts as our domain name supplier for over 20+ years without any issues. If you would prefer us to perform this on your behalf we offer domain registration and management from £17.99/yr (.co.uk & .uk domains).

Website Development
This section refers to the creation of your website. It is important to find a web developer/designer who has plenty of experience in the industry and can build web pages that will render to multi screen devices including phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. This process is known as responsive design. A responsive website that looks good on the most popular screen sizes will help to ensure that visitors will return to your website. At Llewellyn Design we incorporate this function as standard.

Hosting Provider
Hosting is a service that provides disk space on a server (computer) connected to the internet for websites to become accessible on the World Wide Web. We provide flexible hosting packages to meet the requirements of your website. Hosting includes login to a server Control Panel where you can create backups of your website, manage email accounts and more. See our website hosting section for price guide.

SSL Website Security
We highly recommend you purchase a SSL certificate for your domain name to avoid browsers blocking your website and to give peace of mind to your website visitors. See our SSL website security certificates section for more details.
